Living in Italy for a year and being immersed in the espresso bar culture, I adopted a “da capo“ ideology. Starting over daily with the ritual of having an espresso or cappuccino at the bar along with a casual conversation. Moving to Italy wasn’t in the cards, so I decided to bring the espresso bar culture to Edmonton in 2003. After opening multiple successful concepts in different locations, I have come full circle and am working on the next “da capo”… In the mean time, the pandemic was the stimulus to launch #beans by bike. A green (emission free) subscription business providing free delivery by bicycle to homes and offices in the Edmonton and surrounding area.
Da Capo is an authentic Italian espresso brand whose signature blend is true in flavour and style. “Italy minus the flight” is the experience you can look forward to when drinking your espresso.
In 2020, Da Capo transitioned to a fully-online brand roasting both our traditional espresso blend along with single origin coffees.
